what are you ready to let go of,
shed with the turning of the seasons?
what would you like to plant for the coming months?
each new season, each shift is an opportunity.
nature helps us.
by synchronizing with the rhythms of nature, her cycles, we are assisted with our own cycles of ups and downs, deaths and rebirths.
all steps in the dance of life.

we will use a transformational, active breathwork meditation to get out of our heads, out of our fears & into a place of trust, a place of the heart, into the realm of Spirit.

no prior experience in necessary

satsang with Yehnemsah
Sunday, March 21st, 2010
4-6pm

Dear friends, I am so excited to open our home to my friend and teacher Yehnemsah Oneha, a long term resident and coordinator at the Ananda Ashram, Upstate. For years now Yehnemsah has been a guide for me when I had questions, concerns and frustrations about spiritual life. She has given me warm-hearted guidance that was both practical and deep. Having devoted her life to the path of yoga, Yeh is a wonderful guide for us to gather around as we quest and question into our Truth, which is that One Truth-- Sat. Love,
Luke

Yehnemsah wrote these words to describe satsang:
"Satsang is the opportunity to experience Life, directly.. allowing the mind, as thoughts, to dissolve in the Heart or Source... through this shift in attention, Oneness with all Life is Realized. It is Always Present and Available as our True, Original Nature.
Through "Self Inquiry" we come to see how simple it is...."As it is"

Donations of $5-10 dollars are greatly appreciated to help with travel costs but not mandatory. Mostly we just want you to join us for this heart-full Sunday afternoon.
Om Shanti

Yehnemsah Oneha was certified as a Yoga teacher by "Seven Centers Yoga Arts" in Arizona, a center affiliated with the American Yoga Alliance and teaching the traditional style of the Bihar School of Yoga (founded by Swami Satyananda Saraswati). She has practiced Kundalini Yoga with certified teacher Datta Kaur Khalsa in Ithaca, NY, and has studied Patanjali's Yoga Sutras for many years with various teachers, most recently at Ananda Ashram, where she resides as a staff person. Yehnemsah has also been deeply influenced by the teachings of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi.

inner body dancing with Shakti

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010
7-8:30pm
this is so fun! and liberating,
Come and shake it!

Come for 90 minutes of Meditation and Dancing! We'll start in stillness: blending Heart Centered Meditation with Breathing awareness, Experiential Anatomy, Authentic Movement, and other practices that aid us in surfing the landscape of our Inner Bodies. We will meet the moment, gradually flowing into a state of Full ON embodied dancing, on your own and with others.

Shakti Andrea Smith has been guiding others into deep inner places, then outwards into celebration since leading her first meditation class on Maui in 1990. She brigs Meditation and Movement together. This practice is infused by her movement research in the embodied disciplines of Contact Improvisation, Authentic Movement, Dance Meditations, and Body Mind Centering. See http://MassageandMovement.com for more information.
